Tension Release
1990 ford ranger belt tension can not seem to find how to release tension?
it is the 2.9 6 cyl and has 3 belts i only need to replace the alternator but can not find the tensioner, is there one?
that is i must remove the other 2 belts to install the alt. belt.

Tensioner's are only on serpintine belts, you have multiple belts, so you have to loosen the bolts on each pump and slide it inwards, they have one slotted hole for adjustment, old school..
