Slendertone Men
Slendertone system abs?
Hey I'm 13 and I am about 5"7 and I weigh about 100 pounds.I'm about to buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/New-system-abs-abdominal-muscle-ab-flex-belt-men-/180553374172?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a09d1d9dc . Don't tell me it doesn't work cause I have read alot of reviews and asked my uncle who uses it and they all say its good. My only question is will it get me a six pack? I have a fat crease line but I do have little fat. Last year it was my goal to get a 6 pack and I trained for about 2 months. It was INTENSE. I trained hard but no 6 pack. So will this thing get me a 6 pack? And i'm asking people who have used it so if you haven't sorry I wasted your time
No system will get you a six pack. You only get that through dedicated exercise - and diet.
There are two parts of a six pack: one is muscles in your abs that you need to build up. If you start exercising regularly, you will notice a tone and definition in there very soon - about a 3-4 weeks, I would say - but for a six pack you would have to work out for at least 6 months intensely - or more likely, a year. Equipment only helps if it will make you stick with the regime. Most people buy fancy gym things and use them for two months and it will gather dust in the corner. You are better off spending that money on a gym membership - or find a friend - or your uncle - to do it with so you can stick with your routine workouts.
I highly suggest Pilates as a great ab toning method. It is relatively easy to do, all you need is a mat and some DVDs, and you get great abs - and other parts of your body. It is something I could successfully stick with.
The other thing is that you need to have very little or no fat on your stomach for the muscles to show. You could have the strongest abs but if covered by a layer of fat, no one will see. So for six packs, you need to also diet and/or do cardio exercises to trim the weight off your stomach. Best is to alternate cardio days with strength exercises.
