duke lacrosse?
is anyone else happy about how the duke lacrosse scandal ended up? i think its great that everything was cleared up, none of the player's DNA was in the stripper.
did anyone else notice how these kids were guilty before proven innocent, instead of vise-versa? i hate how us lacrosse players are regarded as stuck up rich white kids. lacrosse is the most grueling and intense sport on the face of the earth. it combines the hitting of football and hockey, strategy in basketball, and the stamina of soccer. plus the goal scoring is exciting. iam sick of people saying how it is easy, i would like to see most people who are opposed to lacrosse go out there with a lacrosse stick and try to master what most of us lacrosse players have ie basically having the stick be an extension of our hands
thats my rant, how do you guys feel about the duke lacrosse players being stripped from their senior season when they were predicted to win the national title from some dumpy stripper, and lacrosse?
I could spend a whole day discussing this issue, but I will not bore you all. So here's a few key points.
• The players were guilty of one thing: having the bad judgment to hire the strippers in the first place. Nothing else.
• We may never know the real reason the accuser filed false statements.
• Durham D.A. Mike Nifong is a power-hungry, self-serving, media whore. He should be disbarred and behind bars.
• The Group of 88 (Duke faculty members who rushed to judgment and condemned the team and Duke administration) should all be corralled and taken to the lacrosse field to get pelted with eggs by the team. And the team's families. Then fired.
• The players may have been cleared, but they and their families will be forever affected by this tragedy.
