How do you slide-stop/hockey-stop with roller hockey skates?
How do you slide-stop/hockey-stop with roller hockey skates?
At the place I skate at it has an indoor skating area and there are some staff people who always makes these insanely quick stops that make loud sounds. They turn there body and it stops but I can't seem to do it correctly.
I have mission BSX senior roller hockey skates and I can skate fairly well.
I can do frontward crossover turns, backward crossover turns, backwards, forwards, etc.

Are there any other important skills for me to know just for INLINE SKATING itself? I am not planning on joining any roller hockey league or even playing hockey for the matter. I just have roller hockey skates I bought 1 month ago.

Well I play ice hockey but i started off as a kid first playing roller hockey. As they always say it takes practice, i didn't play roller hockey enough to learn since i started ice hockey however i know the rules are fairly similar; you won't be able to stop like a pro straight away, try skating and turning your outside foot and sliding on the inside of the wheels (so if you want to stop with your left leg on the inside and your right foot on the outside). You can only do these kinda stops on smooth indoor surfaces as i'm sure you're aware, after a while your inside leg strength will increase, aswell as your balance (plus confidence) and you'll notice you naturally start to bring ur inside leg in too for more support. Try not to look down at your feet, as comforting and secure this may feel, it actually is very deceptive and doesn't give you a true balance. So head up, skate and don't think about it too much, just slide and glide! lol Sorry it's the best i can explain!
