Looking for an impact cardiovascular workouts no!?
I had a pretty serious ankle injury a year ago. We are still trying to understand what is happening with the ankle because it is not anywhere near back to normal, but I'm tired not to exercise! I went to play soccer 2-3 days a week for nothing! I did a little yoga and Pilates to develop strength, but I am in need cardio work. Any suggestions for something I could do, but do not kill my ankle? I have a 2-years, so all I could do it outside a gym would be ideal, but I also live in reality and I know I may be going to the gym to get there. Thank you!
I would say stay away from the elliptical machine. There are other things you can do. There are machines at my gym at school I do not know not what they are called, but the idea is that it's like a stationary bicycle for your arms. You turn the trick with your hands, your upper body intead works your lower body. Also try swimming. It is low impact and very effective.
