How can I get scorched carpet off of my iron?
I recently knocked my iron off of the ironing board and it immediately melted my bedroom carpet on contact. I now not only have an iron mark on my carpet (it's not black, but is a melted iron shape), but I have melted carpet on my iron.
Any suggestions on getting the carpet off of the iron? Is there a scouring pad or cleanser that would safely work?
I have a back-up iron, but it's not as nice as my ruined one.

Try a brillow pad, that seems to get tough things like that.
