Lifting weights on an upright machine?
I was working with a trainer and he showed me how to do bicep curls with a machine with a cable and bar. However whenever I do them on my own, the creases of arms are sore afterwards. That didn't happen when I was working with someone. So is my form off or am I using too much weight, or what?
Chances are that your muscles have gotten stronger from your workouts, meaning that the next time you go lift weights you feel more comfortable doing more weight. Subsequently the minor muscle groups might take longer to catchup to the major muscle groups. If you are talking about the crease between your bicep and forearm, there is nothing wrong with that for the exercise you describe. It means that the connective tissues are getting stronger. (But you must accept that as a mere guess as I don't know exactly where or what it is you are talking about).
There is supposed to be natural soreness with weight training. Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong with the lift. But if you are in more pain that you feel comfortable with, take a pain reliever or antiinflmmatory. Or a banana after a workout has potassium that has been proven to cut back on post-workout pain. But if the pain lasts for more than 4-5 days then you might have injured yourself more seriously (which I doubt you did).
