How to Fix my Cell Phone?
The battery in my dlx katana phone needed charged and went dead. When I plugged the charger in the phone wouldn't power on. I waited a few hours and finally the battery had enough charge and said it was full. I flipped the phone open and found none of the buttons worked. Not the side buttons, not the numbers, nothing. I cant even power down the phone. Strange thing is when I take the battery off and put back in the phone wont automatically start. The power button works! The only button that works with only the function to turn it on. I can receive calls still by flipping open. Speaker works. This is a sprint phone but I have it on the Cricket service. Ive had the phone 4 months with zero problems. I didnt get the phone wet. I dont have insurance. Any suggestions?
Take it to a Sprint store with a service counter. The problem is that you are using Crickett, so you might not get any help, but you can try.
The phone shouldn't automatically start when you put the battery back - you have to manually start it.
It really really sounds like water damage to me but it might be a bad battery.
