To save on potting soil to use as background plants in large containers on my patio?
I prefer something not too heavy so I can still move the containers around the deck.
I use styrofoam forms that things are shipped, such as electronics, kitchen appliances, etc. I just break up into segments of fist size and put it in the bottom of the pan, then cover with some screen, then add the soil. It keeps the pot from a ton as if it must be moved.
